We have represented some of the largest medical providers in our region for many years.
Medical providers occupy a unique position in the community in which they operate and often require a different approach in representation. We strive to always promote a positive image of our clients in the communities they serve while balancing the legal strategy in pursuit of the outstanding receivables. All of our team members understand that medical bills can be unexpected and expensive, but that is no reason for patients, or third party payers, to delay payment or attempt to shift that financial burden back onto our clients. We view our role as an extension of the revenue cycle management process and routinely handle many types of accounts for our medical community, including hospital self pay, and probate matters.
Asset Recovery & Replevin
Often times, a client will have collateral attached to a defaulted account, or they may have a Judgment in place and need to seize assets from the debtor.
Our Firm routinely utilizes the legal system to gain possession of assets, either in a replevin of collateral, or a post judgment levy on assets. Some assets can spoil or be damaged if not quickly and properly recovered. Our Firm has recovered various assets for clients including baked goods, horses and livestock, boats, and of course many automobiles. If you are needing to pursue assets, contact us today to see if we can assist you in recovering possession.
Workers Compensation Premium Collection
Our Firm developed a niche many years ago by developing a great deal of experience in the legal recovery of unpaid workers compensation insurance premiums.
We have litigated all over the state of Florida on premium recovery cases and cases involving fraud and omitted employees. Especially in the construction industry, workers compensation insurance cases can be very complex and often involve large sums of money. Similar to our medical provider clients, insurance carriers often occupy a delicate and visible position in the communities they serve and our collection strategies are sensitive and responsive to these issues.
We entered the consumer collections industry back in the late 1970’s and continue to be an active participant.
With roughly 50% of our caseload involving consumer based accounts from some of the leading national and regional lenders, we have fully developed and detailed policies, processes, and procedures to ensure full compliance with all laws and rules associated with consumer collections. Our regulatory compliance record reflects that we meet or exceed all benchmarks in protecting consumer data and in all of our interactions with consumers. Bad things happen to good people frequently and we treat all consumers with respect, dignity, and compassion.
Our Firm counts some of the top commercial creditors as clients, and for good reason.
We have represented commercial creditors for almost 30 years on issues involving advertising, insurance premiums (including workers compensation premiums), and all manners of commercial financing instruments. Whether it’s a complex structured workout that needs to be negotiated and managed, or a forced liquidation, we can provide the experience and expertise to protect your interests and manage the risk exposure through the entire process. Our attorneys are long standing members of the Commercial Law League of America and the International Association of Commercial Collectors, among other trade groups.
